What is Colonix®?

Colonix®, or the Colonix® Program, marketed by DrNatura.com, is one of the most popular colon cleansers in the market today. In the broader scheme of things, this may perhaps be attributed to the fact that Colonix® was one of the first mass produced cleansers to market to a large worldwide audience.

Like other colon cleansers, Colonix® is primarily being marketed as a detoxifying tool that adults may use to finally get rid of the so called intestinal “plaque” that have built up in the intestines. Documented resources regarding the effects of Colonix® is surprising- as two to four feet worth of “plaque” have been removed after completing a “cycle”.

How Does Colonix® Work?

Since Colonix® is primarily a cleanser, you can count on it to help expel all the animal fat that has built up in your system for the past few decades. Regular cleansing would allow your body to finally let go of the useless extra baggage that may be the cause of cancer and other gastric ailments.

The human digestive system has a natural mechanism to dispose of waste. Unfortunately it seems that it wasn’t really designed to dispose of animal fat and undigested animal protein. Since most of the population of the world is dependent on at least one type of animal protein for its daily survival, cleansing becomes an important tool to combating disease.

Aside from being able to remove protein and fat detritus that have attached themselves to the lining of the large intestines, Colonix® is also purported to be able to get rid of heavy metals.

Heavy metals and other chemical toxins are regular residents of human digestive systems and bloodstreams. Due to biological accumulation, lead and mercury are often present in the body. Dioxin is also present. Cleansing has the potential to remove these harmful substances from the body through physical expulsion.

The 3 Complaints About Colonix®

1) The Colonix® Program involves three phases; two of which target specifically the intestines and the liver. The cleansing of these vital organs is actually key to the whole system. However, as with most colon cleansers, the Colonix® Program might not be for everybody.

2) All three of the herbal-based components of the Colonix® Program are composed of more than ten herbs each. There’s a chance that many users would not be able to tolerate some of these herbs. Since the product enhances the bowel movement, some may feel pain during the process of removing the excess waste.

3) Another possible problem with the Colonix® Program is the lack of diet-suppressing qualities. As you may know, many people engage in colon cleansing with one thing in mind - that they will lose weight after engaging in systematic “purging” of waste and body fluids stuck in the intestines.

Now, if this is the case for you, there just might be a problem since the preparations will not suppress the appetite for solid food nor thirst. On the other hand, if you’re doing it to simply remove toxins from your body, you should generally be okay. As a rule of thumb, if nausea or vomiting appears after use, discontinue use and consult with a doctor.
