What is Ultimate Cleanse®?

Ultimate Cleanse® colon cleanser, distributed by Nature’s Secret, is a 240-tablet food supplement kit that was designed to remove toxins and undigested material from your GI tract. Like most colon cleansers, Ultimate Cleanse® draws its main strength from fiber - specifically, Psyllium husk or ispaghula husk.

If you would notice, most of the products that claim to be colon cleansers all have at least one kind of fibrous material. The reason why Psyllium husk is popular with nearly all the manufacturers is that it’s very hypoallergenic and very kind to even the most sensitive GI tracts.

How Does Ultimate Cleanse® Work?

According to general product information, Ultimate Cleanse® has been designed to cleanse the colon while establishing harmony with your specific daily diet. So unlike other colon cleansers that are antagonistic to high fat meals, for example, Ultimate Cleanse® is the direct opposite.

Also, Ultimate Cleanse® does not require its users to fast at all - a big relief for those who have been generally big eaters for the longest time. The program is two-step (a contrast also to most cleansing programs that are three-step, and last for ninety days) and promises to cleanse the GI tract and liver in just seven days.

This means that the product is generally fast acting, and would necessitate you to “unload” every few hours. In this kind of situation, it would be best to start the colon cleansing during weekends.

The Benefits of Ultimate Cleanse®

The benefits of Ultimate Cleanse® are very basic, which includes the gentle removal of waste materials, coupled with internal detoxification. Internal detoxification is carried out with the help of the active ingredients, which are herbal. The product contains alfalfa leaf (which burns off fat), ginger root and extracts from milk thistle. The product contains over 30 different active ingredients, directly or indirectly contribution to re-balancing the intestinal flora of a person’s GI tract.

Also, the product utilizes several different fiber sources, including cascara sagrada bark, acacia gum, peppermint leaf and around ten other different fibers. These fibers work together in making sure that no solid or semisolid plaque is left untouched.

The 2 Disadvantages of Ultimate Cleanse®

1) One of the basic disadvantages of these products that are “multi-fiber” is that the feeling of wanting to go the bathroom will come nearly immediately - and repeatedly. So we’re looking at four to six bowel movements a day. This figure will vary also, depending on just how receptive your GI tract is to the influx of laxatives and fiber.

2) There have been some anecdotal reports that Ultimate Cleanse® causes its users to unload very liquid waste. While this is natural, since the fiber will break down the plaque inside, it might be very unpleasant to some users. Generally, liquid stool is quite painful to excrete because of the high level of bile and acids that come with it. To add to the possible grief, food that has been eaten within the past few hours would also come out along with the year old waste.

All in all, if you can tolerate numerous visits to the bathroom for about seven days to complete the whole cycle, Ultimate Cleanse® seems to be a fairly good choice for colon cleansing.
